What is the European Collaboration Fund?
The British & Irish Society of Animal Science (BISAS) invites you to back a newly established Fund aimed at securing the UK’s continued membership in the European Federation of Animal Science (EAAP). This membership unlocks a wealth of opportunities: a vast network of animal scientists, reduced fees for the EAAP Annual Meeting, and invaluable prospects for early-career scientists to network, train, and collaborate internationally.
Let’s ensure our animal science community thrives by supporting this sustainable initiative! The Fund's primary aim is to uphold EAAP UK membership, but it will expand to support other vital initiatives like the Animal Task Force, enhancing collaboration for UK and Irish animal scientists.
Managed by BISAS, it invites support from individuals and organisations passionate about animal science, including current and former BISAS members and industry experts. BISAS is also contributing resources, highlighting the importance of this collective endeavor.
Additionally, donations may qualify for Gift Aid, allowing BISAS to reclaim tax and amplify your contribution at no extra cost, making it a savvy choice for higher-rate taxpayers.
Gift Aid is a UK government scheme allowing charities to claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated, increasing donation value by 25% at no cost to the donor. Donors must be UK taxpayers who have paid sufficient income or capital gains tax to cover the claim. It applies to cash, card, and digital donations, requiring a simple declaration from the donor.
